August Heroes Appreciation Luncheon - SouthState Bank

Please join the Chamber, County & City for our very special Business Exchange Luncheon, recognizing our Community Heroes, Thursday, August 25th, 2022, from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM at the Philippine Heritage Enrichment Complex and Gardens located at 5154 SW 16th Avenue, sponsored by SouthState Bank.

As we all know, in a crisis you pick up the phone and dial the familiar numbers you learned as early as kindergarten and help will be on the way.  Maybe it's an accident in town, on the highway or a fall, who will be there to lend a helping hand? In the next five minutes as you answer questions and relay information, a team of highly trained professionals are working together to get to you and be prepared to help you overcome your newfound obstacle. The men, women and fur friends who are Okeechobee’s First Responders, Public Safety, Health Care providers and Military Veterans will be recognized as our Community Heroes.

Our special guest speaker, Retired Marine Corps Maj. Gen. James S. “Hammer” Hartsell will be sharing his 37 years of experience, helping us to understand the many ways that they protect our community each day. The world we live in today can be scary if we are not prepared!
