2021 Brings New Chamber Board Members!
Whew..... We have been bursting at the seams to introduce our newest board additions for the 2021 year! We are so pleased to have Amy Daniel, Ken Keller, and Rebecca Marsocci serving on the Chamber Board and our members. Congratulate them when you see them!
Amy Daniel, Director at LargeAmy is a lifelong resident of Okeechobee and represents the term “Born & Raised” proudly. Amy graduated from Okeechobee High School and went on to further her education at Indian River State College. Amy married her high school sweetheart, Carey, and they reside in Basinger. Amy has been employed with MIDFLORIDA Credit Union since 2003 and is currently is the Branch Manager. She is highly active in the community and serves on many boards. She is currently the Treasurer of Okeechobee County Farm Bureau, Past President & Current member of Rotary, and Big Brother’s Big Sisters of Okeechobee. During her spare time Amy enjoys spending time with her family and reading a good book.
Rebecca Marsocci, Director at Large
Rebecca Marsocci is a lifelong resident of Okeechobee county. She and her husband, Chase, are the third-generation owners of Fast Break Bait & Tackle. Although retail has been Chase’s family business for many years, it was not Rebecca’s first career. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and Behavior. After undergraduate school, Rebecca worked locally in healthcare business development for two years. While working, she attended graduate school at Florida Atlantic University. In 2015, Rebecca graduated with a Master’s in Health Administration. Shortly after graduation, Rebecca joined her husband in the family business at Fast Break Bait & Tackle. Together, they have grown the business; undergoing a large expansion in 2016. In 2020, Rebecca expanded their product lines for women by creating a subsection of their business called “Backlash.” Rebecca and Chase have two adventurous children, Landen, and Hoyt. They are very involved in sports, 4-H, hunting, and, obviously, fishing. When she is not traveling to baseball tournaments and livestock shows, Rebecca enjoys archery, fishing, and upcycling home décor. Rebecca is a member of Duck’s Unlimited, the National Wildlife Turkey Federation, and many professional C-Store Societies. She is a supporter of youth fishing programs and youth livestock shows. Rebecca is passionate about promoting Lake Okeechobee and supporting youth in the outdoors.
Ken Keller, Secretary
Ken moved to Okeechobee from Ohio in 2010 with his wife Elaine. Ken is an account executive and broadcaster with Glades Media, WOKC Radio. His wife is a schoolteacher in the Okeechobee County School District. They have twin boys Evan and Karter. Ken is the radio play by play voice on WOKC for Okeechobee High School football, basketball, baseball, and softball. He co-hosts a local sports talk show called The Sports Grill with WOKC Morning Show Host Billy Dean on Thursday nights. Since arriving in Okeechobee, Ken has become regularly active in the community. He is a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club of Okeechobee and a three-time president of the club. Ken also is a reading mentor for a local elementary school student for The Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Ken and his “Little” were named Big and Little of The Year in 2019 for Big Brother Big Sisters of St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. Ken also serves on the Advisory Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters for Okeechobee County. Other organizations and boards that Ken serves on are The United Way Allocations Committee for Okeechobee County, The Citizens Advisory Board for the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office and he is a Trustee for The First United Methodist Church of Okeechobee. In his spare time Ken likes to spend time with his family. They love to go to Disney and baseball games. His children both play baseball and soccer and Ken loves watching them play. Ken also enjoys reading and going to the movies.
